The most common money question I get asked is, "What should I use in Mexico, Pesos or US Dollars"?
You don't necessarily need to rush out and get US dollars before you leave home especially when our dollar is currently worth less than the US Dollar.
While smaller denominations of US currency are widely accepted, Mexico’s official currency is the peso. Even at par, if you convert Canadian dollars to US dollars it’s not an even trade as your buy rate will be higher than the sell rate. Second, if you then need to convert to pesos, you will once again lose on the transaction; how much will depend on whether you are exchanging at a bank or currency exchange.
So you've decided you want to start planning an adults only all-inclusive beach vacation for you and your partner. As a parent with children in the home this is a great opportunity to refresh, unwind and reconnect with your loved one, something you can't always find time to do at home.
Often times when you still have children living at home guilt will be a deciding factor on whether you really take that adults only vacation. You wonder should I really spend money on a vacation for just the two of us, I'll feel bad about leaving the kids, maybe we should wait and go as a family. All are feelings that most of us feel at one time or another when we plan on experiencing things without our children in toe.
