Los Cabos is known best for its golden beaches, world class golf, lively nightlife, whale sightings in the winter, and celebrity sightings year-round! You will find endless activities to do in Los Cabos but if you want to stray from the beaten path and try something a little different here are two unique activities to make your Cabo vacation a memorable experience.
So I'm back to finish up my review of Secrets Maroma resort in Riviera Maya. I'll wrap up with some info on entertainment, activities, the spa and who I think is a good fit for the resort.
The resort entertainment staff takes pride in putting on great shows. Along with celebrating various seasonal holidays the resort puts on different nightly shows for it's guests. There were various shows during my time at the resort, "Rock Vault" was a show that paid tribute to rock legends such as Bon Jovi, Pink Floyd and ACDC, there was also a "Fire Show" and a "Foam Party". And that's not all, there was plenty to keep you entertained such as a "Texas hold em Tournament", "Comedy Juggling" show and a "Moonlight Party" at the beach with bonfire, live music and more.
Secrets Maroma is a really great adults only resort option if you're planning on staying in the Riviera Maya. I made this resort my home base for four nights while visiting the area to do several resort site inspections. This was my first visit to the resort and I was extremely happy with what I experienced. I must say I have a little sweet spot for Secrets Resorts and the AMResorts brand (which includes Zoetry, Secrets, Breathless, Dreams, Now and Sunscape resorts) as a whole. I've had the privilege to stay at several AMResort properties and visit many others. Okay so on to my review and because it is so long I will break it up into two posts, this being the first and I will wrap it up in the next post so stay tuned and enjoy!
After the devastating effects of Hurricane Odile the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is newly renovated, restored and back better than ever. If you're looking for a place to escape from the winter blues, then you really don't need to look much further. This resort is a perfect place for soaking in some warm Baja sunshine and authentic Mexican hospitality.
From the moment you enter the lobby, you know you're about to enjoy a very special experience, it will take your breath away. The main focus of the resort is two enormous swimming pools - one for all ages and one adults only - which leads down to a white sand beach and the Sea of Cortes. There is also Mexican Plaza as well as kids pool area with water park which is on its own side of the resort away from the main pool area so your kids can let loose, have a fun time and be themselves!
This is a great resort, outstanding service and amazing views. It offers Unlimited-Luxury® that includes unlimited premium drinks at six bars and lounges, pool concierge, 24-hour room and concierge services and more. And of course with the Free WiFi throughout the entire resort I was able to keep in contact with you during my stay. Another great perk I loved was the Free calling to US, Canada and local Mexican land lines, I was able to stay in contact with my family daily and not have to pay an enormous phone bill at the end.
This resort is located in a new development in San Jose del Cabo called Puerto Los Cabos. This area is very new so there is little development at this point but much more is planned. If you are wanting a great relaxing vacation to get away from it all this is a perfect option. There are many restaurant choices, a great spa and lots of time to soak up the sun.
